Particle Physics in Second Life — So to Speak

So, CERN in RL Europe has monkeyed around a little with the Atlas Project Large Hadron Collider; and, all worries to the contrary, we haven’t been sucked into a new black hole yet (grin).

Neither has the Grid.  Attend this machinima, created by Ryushimitsu Xingjian (with thanks to Hamlet Au at New World Notes):

The really nice thing is that someone actually connected with particle physics has picked up this machinima, and run it in his blog.  Another nod goes to Ham Au for tipping us off to David Harris’ complimentary writeup of Professor Panda’s work.
