Kimono, Moving Forward

But what I could see out of the corner of my eye made me think of two lovely bundles of silk floating along a stream. In a moment they were hovering on the walkway in front of me, where they sank down and smoothed their kimono across their knees.

— Arthur Golden, Memoirs of a Geisha

You gotta love the exotic caress of a kimono, especially the furisode sleeve style that is so popular in Second Life (but which, in RL, is really for young unmarried women only).  But what about if you took the swathing silk of a kimono, and brought it forward by several dozen centuries?  If so, you’d have this lovely wrapped dress by United Colors.

I’m falling asleep, and have an early shift for tomorrow, so I’ll leave it for there (sigh).

I’m wearing:

  • Head Akeruka Monika 2.5 Bento
  • Body and feet: Maitreya Lara 4.1
  • Hands: Vista ProHands
  • Eyes: IKON Sovereign eyes (Passion)
  • Hair: D!va Kate (Moonstone)
  • Kimono: United Colors Misa (blue; available at current round of District 20) (By the dress’ nature, I strongly recommend some applier pasties; I used E’s Design Starfish silver pasties. I also suggest a pair of panties (grin); the Maitreya panties supplied with the Lara body work nicely, but you should remove the ribbons with the supplied HUD.)
  • Shoes: KC Couture Evelyn
  • Jewelry: Maxi Gossamer Aliah Moonshine earrings 3 and bracelets; RealEvil ReVoX aviator watch
  • Makeup:
    • Eyeshadow: Zibska Augusta (Omega, slot 6)
    • Lipstick: Zibska Nicole (Omega, slot 16)
