We’ve been trying to cope with way too many projects here at the blog, and so a whole mess of events are closing under us without having found a chance to write anything up. From what the boss tells me, that’s something of a tradition at Around the Grid anyway, but it’s still frustrating.
Like this outfit, for instance. It’s available at the current Tres Chic … but today is the last day. I don’t know when it will be taken down, so you may have more time than I’m afraid of. I’d get there as soon as you see this, though; otherwise, you may have to wait a while before this “playsuit” appears in the creator’s store or on the Marketplace.
And it’s definitely a cool and breezy outfit! You can’t get much breezier without this one-piece hot-pant suit turning into a bikini. It’s fun to wear, and just made for wearing with boots, like the ones I have on from Phedora (not at Tres Chic, so you can get them at the main store). The hair also debuted at TS, from Vanity Hair, and the earrings are from Shanghai.
I discovered this exhibition at LEA9 while searching for a place to pose. This area, put together by Suzen JeweL, shows ideas from her creativity, including song lines engraved into the ground at several spots. It’s colorful, and surreal enough to fit the costume I’m modeling.
I don’t know what this says about me, but I love a lot of the vinyl goodies from r2, which I usually pick up at Collabor88. Harper and I chose r2 when we started putting together the look for Caja, a character from a story I’m working on. I gotta say I’ve fallen in love with Caja’s half-alien, half-elegant, half-demonic style. (Wait, that’s 150%, isn’t it? LOL)
This outfit comes from the current Collabor88. I left off the boots that come with it, though, because Caja likes ultra-platform heels, and the boots made for the suit (separate purchase) weren’t tall enough. Lucky for me, there’s other shoe stores who’ve got sole, and these boots from Moda were in my Inventory.
I’d also like to find more places — any places, really — who are making new “extreme” hair. Fortunately, Griddie’s hair from several years ago is still on the Marketplace, and this Lily hairstyle from my first time in front of the camera had a platinum shade.
I was intending to do something much more casual this time, but I fell in love with this month’s Tres Chic, and so here I am glammed up again.
“…There is never any ending to Paris and the memory of each person who has lived in it differs from that of any other. We always returned to it no matter who we were or how it was changed or with what difficulties, or ease, it could be reached. Paris was always worth it and you received return for whatever you brought to it ….”
